The progressive-rock supergroup Transatlantic is back in Montreal.
Transatlantic will be presenting their fourth album that will be launched in January.
Founded in 1999 by Mike Portnoy, Transatlantic is comprised of: Neal Morse (Flying Colours), Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, Flying Colours), Pete Trevawas (Marillion) and Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings). While he was a member of Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy’s dream was to put together a band with the finest players from prog rock’s leading bands.
The bands first release, SMPTE, arrived in 2000. The album shook the progressive-rock community. It was the most critically acclaimed and talked about prog-release of the year.
Thirteen years later, Transatlantic is still a leading progressive-rock band. Transatlantic are reknown for their epic songs and for the virtuosity of their musicians.
