I almost called this show "Pleasure." But then I thought that the only pleasures people would think of with a title like that would be those forbidden to those under 18. However, for financial reasons, I want those under 18 to be able to see my show as well. So I called it "Delicious": it's a family show.

In an hour and a quarter, I will attempt to unravel the complexities of what brings pleasure to human beings. Of course, pleasure can come from a glass of Chasselas wine savored by the lake in springtime. But it can also be brought on by the death of someone we dislike. Of course, an unexpected promotion at work brings joy. But so does eating Gruyère cheese in Gruyères, or knowing—if you're French—that you don't pronounce the "z" in Étivaz (which allows us to gleefully correct all the clueless people who make the mistake). My goal is for this performance to bring you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme as delightful as eating Gruyère in Gruyères.
