History

Built in 1925, L'Olympia is one of the most precious gems of Montreal's cultural and architectural heritage. Its years devoted to the cinematographic arts gave it a very unique character. Memories still linger, doubled by an unparalleled convivial atmosphere.

Its ideal location, located on Sainte-Catherine Street, makes it one of Montreal's most accessible venues.

As a modular venue, L'Olympia offers many design options : standing general admission (2,438 people), the theatre configuration with numbered seats (up to 1300 seats), cabaret configuration (up to 400 people around small round tables).

So you can choose the option that best suits your event!

The walls of L'Olympia know how to dress with class and elegance to welcome the most famous voices from Quebec and international music scene, from Gilles Vigneault to Tori Amos, including Daniel Bélanger, Claude Léveillé, Georges Brassens, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Adèle, Zucchero, Isabelle Boulay and many others.

L'Olympia is equipped with an unparalleled sound system, and is also ideal for large rock concerts : Motorhead, The Artic Monkeys, The Kills, Les Rita Mitsouko, Philippe Katerine, Jack White, Public Image Limited… 

Besides its musical vocation, L'Olympia was able to expand its cultural horizons by hosting the greatest comedians in Quebec (Louis-José Houde, Daniel Lemire, Clémence Desrochers, Lise Dion, Jean-Michel Anctil, Sugar Sammy) sand several theatre plays.

The theatre adapts to your corporate events such as business meetings, conferences and fundraisers. L'Olympia lounge can accommodate up to 350 people for both concerts, press conferences, album launches, cocktails, private parties or business meetings.
