On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the great Saida Fikri will stop for the first time at the legendary L'Olympia venue in Montreal for a unique musical event.
An undisputed icon of Moroccan socially conscious music, Saida Fikri offers a musical language without borders. Dubbed the "Moroccan Joan Baez" by some critics, she has crafted a rich body of work at the crossroads of genres, sensitively blending dialectal Arabic poetry with blues, rock, reggae, and American folk. A humanist and authentic singer, she delivers poignant lyrics that address exile, social justice, peace, and tolerance. This intimate concert offers the public of the nation's capital a rare opportunity to discover a powerful, timeless musical offering imbued with universal humanist values.
To enrich this show, the famous Montreal group of traditional songs and dances Tafsut will intervene throughout the evening, through vibrant choreographic interludes, to celebrate and honor the work of Idir, a leading figure of Kabyle music who passed away in 2020.
Between the politically engaged folk music of Saida Fikri and the rhythmic transitions of Tafsut, prepare yourself for an evening of great cultural and emotional intensity!
